2014 Oscar Best Dressed
Posted: Mar 05 2014
Welcome back citizens! Hope all is well. The Academy Awards were this past Sunday, but we still can’t get over this year’s winners, and more importantly this year’s best dressed. Not only was it a great day for those honored, but it was a mighty fine night for fashion. There was a little bit of everything on the red carpet this year. From vibrant colors to shimmering floor length stunners, this was a night to remember. There was sure to be something that suited everyone’s taste. One thing we were pleased to see this year were pastels on the Oscar’s red carpet. Amazing fashionista, and best supporting actress winner, Lupita Nyong’o, ooooed and awwwed the crowed in a stunning powder blue floor length ball gown by Prada. Ms. Lady Gaga indeed made the crowd go gaga for her edgy yet romantic pastel pink beaded Atelier Versace gown.
The classic black gown was definitely in full effect this year, but with a little more edge. Charlize Theron knocked us out in a sexy and sleek Dior Couture gown that had us picking our jaws up off the floor. Super model Chrissy Teigan looked heaven sent in a strapless black based floral gown from Monique Lhuiller. Lastly, Le Miserables star Anne Hathaway brought the edge completely in a Gucci gown with studded bodice.
Our honorable mentions go to Sandra Bullock who could do no wrong in a navy blue Alexander McQueen gown that literally took our breath away, and the lovely Angelina Jolie who looked absolutely stunning and effortless in a greige long sleeve embellished gown by none other than Elle Saab Couture.
We can’t forget the men like how lover boy and Fruitvale Station film star, Mr. Michael b. Jordan looked dapper in an all black Givenchy tux topped off with silver metal plated shoes by the same designer. And winner of best supporting actor Oscar, Jared Leto, looked crisp and clean in a white suit jacket topped off with a red bowtie. Comment down below and let us know what your favorite Oscar look was. We would love to know. Until next time, remember citizens to always remain your best while looking your flyest.
